HUNDREDS of people ran across a soaking wet Holcombe Moor near Ramsbottom on Saturday to raise funds for charity.

MAG, a charity which specialises in removing land mines from war-torn countries, has paid tribute to the runners who braved near freezing temperatures in Ramsbottom.

Lesley Achim, MAG’s event’s officer said: “Even though we got very wet and seriously cold I can honestly say everybody really enjoyed this event and despite it looking quite brutal it was great fun!”
