MEMBERS of Ramsbottom Soroptimists have received awards for long service.

Jenni Willett-Whittaker, who has been part of the organisation for 45 years, and Irene Brieley, a member of 40 years, were presented with awards by President Lesley Pritchard as part of an afternoon tea event at Ramsbottom Cricket Club on November 11.

Tea was served and members enjoyed a line dancing demonstration and a game of bingo.

Ramsbottom Soroptimists will be taking orders for Christmas treats on December 3, to be delivered on December 10, in aid of charity.
