COMMUNITY groups are being asked to apply for funding.
Blackburn with Darwen Council’s latest round of ‘Cash for Communities’ grants are up for grabs.
Residents and community groups can bid for up to £1,000 under the categories developing skills, community safety, neighbourhood improvements, and health and well being.
Coun John Slater, executive member for neighbourhoods and customer services, said: “You have the opportunity to make a difference to your community and the people who live there so make sure you apply.”
Successful applicants will be invited to events in November where they will make their pitch for cash. A panel of local people will vote on the bids.
Closing date is Friday, October 30.
