Following the appearance of over 45 Lancashire wanted faces on last month's Crimewatch Roadshow, four of the county's most wanted people have now been located.
In total, four people wanted on prison recall have been arrested and a lot of solid intelligence has been received which has not only led to these arrests but also to actions being sent to eight other police forces to follow up sightings and information.
People arrested following Crimewatch appeals: Ernest (Ernie) Cunningham, 55, from the Shadsworth area of Blackburn, appeared on the programme on Monday, June 1 and was arrested Thursday, July 2 in Clayton-Le-Moors near to Accrington after an anonymous call was received directing police to the address in the town.
28-year-old Stephen Bosanko from Preston, who had been wanted on prison recall since February this year, appeared on the programme on Wednesday morning (June 10) and was arrested later that day in Preston after he was recognised by a local police officer.
Stuart Millard, 36, originally from Blackpool who was wanted on prison recall for burglary offences was arrested on the June 18 as he returned to the UK from abroad at Liverpool airport.
Shaun Anthony McMahon, 30, originally from Merseyside, was wanted on recall for burglary and was arrested in Brighton on the June 22.
Inspector John Clucas said; "What we have done is to show our commitment to arresting those wanted on recall and on warrant.
"As always, I'd like to reassure the public that as a force we have a high success rate of returning people to prison and use all methods to catch these people."
