STUDENTS from Bolton are understood to be among 10 teenagers who claim they were forced to hand over £1,000 in a row over alleged damage to a bar in Greece.
The group, staying in the popular holiday resort of Kavos in Corfu, say the owner demanded compensation from them for damage and theft from a pool bar.
The students, celebrating the end of their A-level exams, now say they are planning legal action against the Greek hotelier, and claim he used police to extort £1,000 from them.
The students come from Chorley, Warrington, Bolton and Manchester. Some of the group are understood to have flown-back.
