CORONATION Street Star Katy Cavanagh has graduated from university with a BA(hons) degree in philosophy and English.
The 35-year-old, who plays Julie Carp in the hit soap, gained a 2:1 class degree from the Open University.
The former Canon Slade and High Lawn Primary school pupil, who is originally from Astley Bridge, joined other successful students at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester for the ceremony on Friday.
The mother of two, who splits her time between Manchester and London, embarked on the degree course eight years ago, but took two years out due to child commitments and had to juggle her TV work.
Her mum, Anne Collins, said: “She has done very well, having got into RADA and with her TV work, but I am most proud of this because of her focus and concentration.”
