A WHITE Balfour Beatty van with a workman still in the back was stolen from Alan Ramsbottom Way, Great Harwood around 2pm on Monday.
The thief crashed in Hameldon View before running off and jumping into a red transit-style pick up van.
The thief is described as white in his early 20s with brown hair.
He was wearing a grey long sleeve shirt with light blue jeans.
