Fire crews spent around four hours tackling a waste fire, using the drone to help them establish hot spots.
On Saturday (June 24), crews from Blackburn and Burnley were called at 5.08pm to a blaze on Whinney Hill Road in Altham.
When they arrived they found a large amount of waste on fire which took them four hours to extinguish.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet and a 45mm jet to put the flames out and were assisted by the drone unit.
They also used a thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire hadn't spread.
It's not thought anyone was injured as a result of the blaze.
