TV judges slam 'no talent' Blackpool

The judges of a TV talent show have slammed Blackpool's lack of talent after declaring the town as the worst to host auditions.

Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden spent two days in the resort in January holding auditions for the ITV show.

They were clearly less than impressed with what they saw.

Piers, former editor of the Daily Mirror, said: "The worst audition was Blackpool by quite a way.

"We were expecting big things from the home of British variety, but it wasn't so much end of the pier stuff as chuck them off the pier' stuff."

Actress Amanda Holden agreed: "I would say Blackpool was the worst audition town and it's such a shame to say that as I love the place."
