THE story of Anne Frank, and her family's struggle to survive under Nazi rule, has always been one of courage and determination - and history fans can get an insight into the tale thanks to a new exhibition.
Aged just 13, Anne and her family were forced to take refuge from Hitler's troops in hidden rooms of a Dutch factory as they were Jewish and, therefore, facing execution or imprisonment.
Eventually her family were deported to Auschwitz concentration camp. Her father Otto was the only surviving member and a new exhibition at Manchester Jewish Museum, Cheetham Hill Road, Manchester, features photographs taken by Otto.
It runs from April 1 to June 25 and is being produced by the Anne Frank Trust. Entry is £3.95 adults, £2.95 for concessions and £9.50 for families.
