Lancashire MPs have voted to move forward with controversial plans to axe 58 post offices across the county.
Four post offices in Preston and four in South Ribble are earmarked for closure as part of the Royal Mail review.
Labour MPs David Borrow in South Ribble, Mark Hendrick in Preston, Gordon Marsden in Blackpool South and Joan Humble in Blackpool North and Fleetwood, all voted in favour of Royal Mail plans to close 2,500 branches nationwide, last night, helping the Government to narrowly defeat a Tory motion to halt the closures.
The Government has stated the Post Office is losing millions of pounds each week and is unsustainable in its current form.
