A GROUP of eight under-18s were commended for their work with the police test purchasing team in Burnley.
They are accompanied by plain clothes officers into targeted off licences to see if they will sell alcohol to underage youths.
PCSO Dave Johnson, who nominated the group, said their work in the area has seen a dramatic fall in off licence sales to juveniles over the last three years.
He said they have had a significant impact on the amount of alcohol available in problem areas which they covered.
The team comprises Dean Mottram, Megan Scott, James Sunderland, Abbie Porter, Mellissa Lewis, David Thurston, Chloe Elliott and Portia Keates.
