PUPILS from a Darwen high school were commended for their work on an anti-bullying project.
Teacher Janet Whitton said: "This group gave much of their free time working on an anti-bullying project within the Blackburn with Darwen community.
"This involved two hours every Monday evening for some weeks and a day of their October half-term holiday.
"They were involved in a performance for 150 people at King George's Hall which involved a song, drama and a presentation."
The group of youngsters from Darwen Vale High School comprised Rhiannon Buckle, Rebecca Adcroft, Christian Bramwell, Tara Fielding and Emma Hughes.
