A CELEBRITY chef visited a Darwen restaurant to taste a menu championed by the face of Taste Lancashire 2008.
Andrew Nutter, who has appeared BBC 2 programme Ready Steady Cook, travelled to MJs Restaurant at the Whitehall Hotel, off Ross Street, Darwen, to taste their menu.
Steve Water, head chef, said: "We have never had a guest booked under the name of Nutter and we joked about it being the possibility of Andrew.
"When I actually saw him walk into the restaurant I was shocked!
"I have cooked for several celebrities before but Andrew is without doubt one of the most innovative chefs in the North West.
"I have watched his TV shows, The Flying Chef and Utter Nutter and I felt slightly under pressure."
Neil Bullows, the owner of the Whitehall Hotel spoke to Andrew, after his lunch, about the recent food festivals and the positive impact on local produce.
