A DRINK-driver twice the limit has been given an interim ban while he awaits sentence by Burnley magistrates.
The court was told how Martin Alcock, 28, was seen overtaking a bus on the approach to a blind left- hand bend near Colne.
Police caught up with him after about 600 yards and noticed his breath smelled of drink. He was unco-operative and taken to the police station, and was still obstructive.
He gave a breath test showing 70 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35. Alcock, of Rhoda Street, Nelson, admitted drink driving and no insurance on February 10. His case was adjourned until May 6.
