A 43-YEAR-old man who sustained serious head injuries during an attack in Darwen remains in a stable condition.
Police on Saturday were called to Darwen Bus Station shortly before midnight and found the man from Preston unconscious.
He had attended the 21st birthday of a Preston man, originally from Darwen, at the Bridgewater pub, Church Street, before the attack.
He was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with serious head injuries and later transferred to the Royal Preston Hospital.
Police have spoken to the injured man and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
A 19-year-old from Darwen was arrested nearby and has been bailed pending further inquiries.
