HOSPITAL patients across East Lancashire escaped injury in this morning's earthquake.
A spokesman for East Lancashire Hospitals Trust, which runs Royal Blackburn, Burnley General and Accrington Victoria Hospitals, said no injuries occurred as a result of the tremor.
The spokesman said: "Fortunately the quake wasn't strong enough to cause any injuries or damage.
"We haven't had any patients falling out of bed or anything like that."
