THOUSANDS of pounds worth of damage were caused to three recycling skips targeted by arsonists.
Fire crews from Burnley were called to the Sita recycling site off Rectory Road at around midnight on Monday.
Crew manager Dave Robinson, of Burnley Fire and Rescue, said three large skips containing both recyclable and non-recycable products were destroyed in the blaze.
He said: "When we arrived the fires were well established.
Police are investigating the incident and appealed for anyone with information to contact police on 01282 425001 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
