POLICE seized over 77 litres of alcohol from underage drink-ers - including a 14-year-old - in Burnley at the weekend.
Eighteen Burnley officers patrolled the streets to tackle teen drinkers causing anti-social behaviour as part of Operation Facio They used unmarked cars and bicycles as well as foot patrols in areas highlighted as anti-social behaviour hotspots.
PC Ian Thompson said: "The public tell us through PACT meetings what their main concerns are in the areas that they live.
"Top concern raised is almost always alcohol fuelled anti-social behaviour invol-ving young people.
"The purpose of these patrols was two-fold.
"We were trying to address the concerns and reduce the incidence of anti-social behav-iour, and at the same time trying to protect the young people involved."
