BLACKBURN with Darwen council has been chosen as a pilot area for a new government scheme.
The council is among four authorities to try out new "place surveys". These will ask residents for their views on the council's work, and will be used by the government to assess its performance.
The other areas chosen are the London Borough of Hackney, Buckinghamshire County Council, and Wychavon District Council, Worcestershire.
