A DARWEN schoolgirl will be raising money for charity when she dances in Liverpool next month.
Sophie Lee, 12, of Beaumont Way, has been asked to do freestyle dance for the See Yi charity on Sunday, March 9.
The charity is made up of people from the Chinese community in the North West. It is expected that mayor Maureen McGarvey will go along to watch Sophie in action.
Sophie recently had a starring role in the film Grow Your Own, and will be attending the new acting classes at Darwen Vale High School run by former Coronation Street star Scott Wright.
Sophie's mum, Angela Lee, said: "It's very important for the Chinese community to see their children performing."
