The Arts Council England has confirmed that £1.8 million is to be invested in Calderdale.
Amongst the companies to benefit are Arc and Throstle Press Ltd, whose premises are at Nan Holme Mill, Shaw Wood Road, Todmorden.
They have received an 85 per cent increase in funding.
Also to receive part of the sum was delighted press group managing director Tony Ward.
Tony said the funding was going to mean more security for the firm. He added: "We are all cock-a-hoop about the decision. It's a lottery, and we have been lucky."
