THERE has been a slight increase in the number of people using Todmorden library, councillors were told in a report from Calderdale head of libraries, John Borrows.
Mr Borrows told them: "In line with the national trends, visitors to our libraries had been reducing year by year. But during the last four years we have seen a slow but steady increase.
"That was expected to be boosted soon by major developmens to libraries throughout Calderdale and projects were being developed for Elland, Mixenden, Todmorden and Hipperholme libraries, and a programme of minor works to refurbish Rastrick, Skirgate, Skircoat, Beechwood Road and Southowram."
