A baby was taken to hospital after a van crashed into pedestrians at a major junction.
The crash happened at around 6pm on Monday close to the traffic lights at the junction of Blackburn Road and Burnley Road in Edenfield.
It is believed a man and a woman were walking along the pavement with a one-year-old boy, when a van collided into them.
Luckily, the injuries were minor, and the baby was taken to hospital with a cut to his lip, while the woman suffered a potential shoulder injury.
A spokesperson for the police said: "The van has collided with a woman and the child, and potentially a man, who were on the pavement.
"Aside from the child being taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with a cut to his lip, the woman was also taken with a potential shoulder injury."
No arrests have been made but the road was temporarily closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
