A PENDLE scheme that helps long-term unempl-oyed people back into work has received national accreditation for the quality service it provides.
The Tackling Unemploy-ment Project, Carr Road, Nelson, part of Pendle Council, has been awarded the Matrix Standard' for the second time running, for maintaining high standards in its information advice and guidance services.
Coun Allan Buck, Pendle Council's executive member for economic development, said: "The fact that the Tackling Unemployment Project has been given this accolade for the second time is testament to the valuable service they provide to unemployed people in the area."
