Energy charity Homewise are organising events in the Hyndburn area to help keep homes warm and bills low this winter.

The event is part of the national Warm Homes Campaign' which aims to cut the number of excess winter deaths and reduce cold-related illness by raising awareness of available help.

The wider campaign is organised by energy effi-ciency charity NEA and supported by the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

Homewise is using the events throughout Novem-ber to raise awareness of the problems facing local people who struggle to affordably heat their homes.

They focus on the importance of energy efficiency in helping people keep their homes warm in an affordable way.

Sue Sinclair from Homewise said: "We want to make as many people as possible aware that we can help them make their homes warmer and save money on their fuel bills."
