A 61-year-old man has been charged with the attempted murder of his wife at her home on a Gisburn caravan park.
Allan Murgatroyd, of St Clarence Court, Pendle Street, Barrowford, is alleged to have attacked his wife, Linda, with a knife as she returned to her van on Todber Caravan Park at 3am on Monday.
Mrs Murgatroyd had been working behind the bar at the site club and her estranged husband had been there with friends. During the incident Mrs Murgatroyd suffered knife wounds to her hands, lip, abdomen and leg. She went to hospital with a friend.
Murgatroyd rang the police the following morning and was arrested outside Barnoldswick police station.
He was sent in custody to Preston Crown Court.
