A DARWEN youth centre has received £5,000 to help make space' for visitors.
Groundwork Pennine Lancashire's Youth Works centre in Ash Grove has used the cash to create and decorate a chill-out space where its members can study and relax.
The grant is part of the national Make Space' campaign, a network of after-school clubs/youth centres for young people managed by children's charity 4Children and funded by Nestlé.
Youth Works has found that the chill-out space has helped improve the atmosphere at the club and provided its members with a wider range in activities.
Manager Andy Nash said: "Receiving this cash boost from Nestlé Make Space has contributed significantly to the growth of our club.
"It is important that young people in the area know they have some-where they can be safe, study, relax and have fun.
"Thanks to this grant we have been able to provide our local young people with better facilities and a wider range of activities for them to enjoy with their friends."
