PARENTS and carers are being given the chance to sample school meals for themselves.
The food tasting sessions are taking place at St James' Primary School, Blackburn tomorrow.
They will give the school a chance to promote school meals and show parents how interesting, healthy and balanced the meals are.
The session will be open to all parents of pupils in reception and year one, as well as children who attend John Smethurst children's centre.
People attending will be able to try food and meet catering staff.
Coun Chris Thayne, Blackburn with Darwen Council's executive member for children's services, said: "The Council is committed to offering children a diet of healthy foods.
"We know this has a real influence on children's behaviour and concentration."
