A 68-YEAR-OLD grandmother is 'chuffed' to have completed a challenge to swim 68 miles to celebrate a hospice's 30tth birthday.
June Shaw, who lives in Burnley, has swam nearly 70 miles at Burnley's St Peter's Leisure Centre, in Church Street.
The swimmer has raised over £700 for Pendleside Hospice and has thanked her husband Arthur and children Vicky and Julian.
Her four grandchildren, Megan, Ella, Beth and Corey, raised £300 together and have also been congratulated for their support.
She said: "My family, neighbours and friends were really supportive and the St Peter's staff have been superb."
