Rovers reporter Rich Sharpe hands out his player ratings after the 3-0 home win over Blackpool.

David Raya 7

Had a quiet afternoon as the visitors managed just one shot on target all afternoon.

Ryan Nyambe 6

Managed just 15 minutes before limping off with a hamstring injury.

Darragh Lenihan 8

Faultless performance from the Irishman, dominant in the air and his presence in the backline an undoubted boost for Rovers.

Charlie Mulgrew 7

Superb free-kick headed home by Dack in the first half. Given trouble at times by Vassell but the back four deserved a clean sheet.

Derrick Williams 6

Outstanding block saved a certain goal in the first half and defended well. Looked nervy in possession though, particularly in the second period.

Richie Smallwood 7

Misplaced several passes early on but got about his work well in the middle of the park.

Elliott Bennett 7

Showed his versatility when switching to right-back where he handled the lively Delfouneso well before coming up with a late assist for Armstrong.

Jack Payne 6

Struggled to really impact the game on his return to the side and didn’t offer too much support defensively.

Bradley Dack 8

Almost appeared the most likely for Rovers. Saw shots saved and blocked before his opener with his header. Teed up Armstrong for the second goal.

Adam Armstrong 8 (MAN OF THE MATCH)

His currency is goals and he proved that with two well taken finishes in the second half after a rather quiet opening 45 minutes. His first in particular was an outstanding technical finish.

Danny Graham 7

Gave Rovers a different option which they used to good effect with some diagonal balls forward. Rib injury forced him off late on.

Subs

Corry Evans (for Nyambe, 15) 7

Most effective performance for some time. Had a hand in three first-half chances, and the second goal, and was much more positive in his work.

Craig Conway (for Payne, 68) 6

Gave good cover for Bennett and his lovely pass helped set up the final Rovers goal late on.

Amari’i Bell (for Dack, 76) 6

Offered Rovers the chance to move to a back three with his introduction in the closing stages.
