TEMPORARY traffic lights in Blackburn Road are expected to remain for the rest of the week.
A section of road near the Thorncliffe Road junction is closed to traffic while Electricity North West carries out maintenance.
The closure is predicted to cause major traffic disruption to commuters.
The work is not expected to be completed until Friday.
Electricity North West started the road works yesterday morning.
