POP fans have been impatiently counting down the days until Little Mix perform at the Macron.

But four pint-sized enthusiasts, who sadly missed out on tickets, have gone one step further and created their very own tribute act.

Eight-year-olds Brooke Knowles and Ruby Duncan have teamed up with Casey-Leigh Almond and Amelia Norris, both seven, to form Mini Mix.

The quartet from All Starz Children's Workshop in Halliwell decided to get together and will perform a number of hits including Move, Black Magic and Shout Out To My Ex at April's Junior Showtime event in the Albert Halls.

They are currently rehearsing their dance moves and singing for the show, which will take place in front of the mayor of Bolton Cllr Roger Hayes on Saturday, April 28.

Alison Power, founder of the workshop based at the Brownlow Fold Community Centre, said: "As a community group, we just asked the children what they wanted to do for junior showtime.

"The girls asked if they could perform as Little Mix and everything went form there. They came up with the name Mini Mix.

"We are looking forward to it and they have been practicing really hard. We think they are going to do a great job.

"They are doing really well. They love rehearsing and all the dressing up, getting their hair done."

Mrs Power, who created the community group in 1996, said they would be singing some of the songs and letting their dancing skills do the talking in others.

The girls all said they were looking forward to performing on stage as their heroes and were hoping to impress audiences on the day.

It will take place just over two months before Little Mix, known as the world's biggest girl band, will perform at the Macron.

The gig was revealed as part of the group's announcement of their Summer Hits tour.

It will be the first time in years that a music concert has been played at the Macron.

The Junior Showtime event will begin at 7pm and is managed by Mrs Power.
