A RESTAURANT manager ran his very first half marathon and raised £1,315 for Bolton Hospice.
Amin, manager at Rivaj restaurant in Wrightington, was going to compete in the Bolton Half Marathon last year but after the cancellation he completed the Manchester Half Marathon.
He said: "I’d wanted to take part in a race for a long time, and the fact that I achieved my very first half marathon, whilst fundraising for my local hospice, made it extra special.
"Knowing that local people will benefit from the sponsorship raised makes me feel very proud.
"Thank you to all my customers and sponsors who supported me."
Amin has now signed up to take part in his first full marathon in April .
