CRAFTWORKERS who live and work in the North West have the chance to exhibit at a town centre art gallery.

Clitheroe's Platform Gallery, situated on Station Road., will host its Craft Open, an exhibit featuring work from some of the region’s best craftspeople, from April 14 to June 23.

Any type of craftwork will be considered for the exhibition, including woven, stitched, felted and constructed textiles, ceramics, jewellery, metalwork, woodwork, furniture, glass, calligraphy and mixed media.

Work can be two or three-dimensional, must be well-crafted and of an original, contemporary design, and made in the last 12 months.

A variety of prizes are up for grabs, including the Selectors’ Prize for Innovation, which offers the winning Ribble Valley exhibitor a pop-up showcase in the gallery shop, a People’s Choice Prize and Best Newcomer Prize.

Up to six pieces may be submitted to the Craft Open for a £15 entry fee and the deadline is Wednesday, February 28.
