Phone mast gets green light

MOBILE phone company T-Mobile have been given prior approval to erect a mast outside a Prestwich pub.

Concerns were raised at Tuesday's meeting of the planning control committee about the proximity of the site at the Woodthorpe Hotel on Bury Old Road to St Monica's High School, but councillors voted to approve the proposals.

Exact details of the mast must be submitted to the council before full planning permission is granted.
