A ROAD is expected to be closed for around five days while underground repairs are made.
The unnamed road in Blackburn, parallel to Whalley Old Road and the junction with Rydal Road, will be shut from Monday, January 22.
A Blackburn with Darwen Council spokesman said the road is sue to enable a utilities provider to attend to works in the road.
He said: "The Order will first come into force on Monday and shall continue in force for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed.
"It is intended the closure will end on Friday, January 26."
An alternative route to use for the unnamed street is via Whalley Old Road, Beardsworth Street, Coniston Road and Bay Street.
Around 30 metres of road will be affected.
