A DRIVER walked away uninjured after a car smashed into a newsagents.
Pictures show the car after it crashed on the corner of the bend in Wigan Road, Westhoughton, near the junction with Southfield Drive, this morning.
It smashed into the Premier Express newsagents but the driver was unharmed.
There was also no reported injuries to anyone in the shop.
Firefighters helped to recover the car.
Posting on Twitter, GMP Traffic Police said that the car was travelling too fast for the wet conditions and urged people to remember to brake before the bend and not on it.
The driver has been reported for driving without due care and attention.
The area of Wigan Road is a notorious crash hotspot with residents calling for more safety measures in the area.
