DREAMS came true for young cartoon fans as the My Little Pony friendship bus rolled into town.

Children dressed up in their favourite outfits from the beloved television show as the vehicle pulled into Middlebrook Retail Park in Horwich.

The pint-sized fans were invited to board the double decker bus free of charge and have their faces painted, watch clips from the film and create their own My Little Pony GIF.

They also had a chance to play with the latest toys released by the makers of the show.

The bus was situated in the car park near Next at Middlebrook from 10am until 6pm.

The vehicle is currently travelling the country to promote the forthcoming film My Little Pony: The Movie.

It is due to be released in the UK on Friday, October 6.

The film charts the adventures of the beloved characters Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity and Spike.

The friends embark on a journey beyond their home after a 'dark force' threatens Ponyville.

It features regular cast Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, Andrea Libman, Tabitha St. Germain and Cathy Weseluck, with guest performances by Emily Blunt, Liev Schreiber, and Zoe Saldana.
