A DRIVER fled the scene after his car flipped on to its roof while 'racing' with another vehicle.
Police were called to Park Road in Westhoughton at around 11pm on Thursday to reports of a crash.
The crash caused the car to flip onto its roof and the driver then fled the scene on foot.
GMP traffic officers said that it is believed the car had been racing another vehicle and enquiries are ongoing.
The ambulance service attended the scene but it is not believed that anyone was injured.
The crash comes just weeks after a scooter collided with a barrier on Park Road, leaving the rider with what were described at the time as 'potentially life-changing' injuries.
