A GOOD school keeps getting better, according to Ofsted inspectors.
St Bernard’s RC Primary School in Ladybridge was visited by inspectors who found that the ‘leadership team has maintained and further developed the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection.’
They said the school continues to be good since it was last inspected in 2012.
Parents were found to speak ‘very highly’ of the staff, the work done to make children’s move to higher school smooth describing the school as ‘excellent and amazing’.
Ofsted stated: “Pupils value the the time that teachers spend with them to explain and clarify their misunderstandings.
“Pupils recognise that this feedback helps them to achieve even higher standards.”
Pupils attainment was found to be better than last year “because pupils are making stronger progress”.
Headteacher Clare Doodson said she was please. She said: “We are thrilled with our recent Ofsted report that clearly recognises progress, high quality provision and positive relationships across school.”
Phil Ashcroft, chairman of governors said: “I am proud and pleased with this grading and my association with St Bernard’s of over 12 years.
“It shows the great work of governors, the head teacher and her team, the staff and of course our wonderful children.”
