EAST LANCASHIRE Hospice is hosting a traditional summer garden party tomorrow afternoon.
Attendees can enjoy a glass of Prosecco and some live music from the brass band ‘Play it Forward’.
The garden party, which runs from 2pm to 4pm, is just one of a series of summer events hosted by the hospice, which has already included a week of wellbeing, to raise money for the Blackburn charity.
Future attractions will include a wine tasting evening, a vintage summer fayre and a fairy festival.
The organiser’s aim is to encourage the communities of Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley to visit the hospice and take a look for themselves, regardless of whether they have had any personal links to the care provided.
Sharon Crymble, fundraising manager at East Lancashire Hospice, said: “This year marks the 50th anniversary of hospices and we wanted to do something to show people that it’s not a sad place.
“We have events to suit all tastes, young and old, and we’d love people to come and celebrate with us.”
