A CAFÉ is inviting its customers to pay for a homeless person’s meal when they drop in for a bite to eat or a coffee.
The Healthy Indulgence Café and Holistic Centre, in Bridge Street, is hosting the ‘pay it forward’ initiative in partnership with Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme.
The café is encouraging its patrons to buy a token for £2.50 or £5 next time they call in for a drink, meal, or treatment.
A token for £2.50 buys a coffee and a cake, while a £5 will buy a meal and a drink for someone who needs decent food and some social interaction in a pleasant environment.
For every token purchased the cafe will issue a voucher to one of three nomintated Bolton charities to distribute to their most disadvantaged clients.
It will also use the donations to feed people who are fleeing from domestic abuse, suffering with mental illness issues, or experiencing poverty.
