NURSES at Bury Hospice have proved they are all heart.
They have been putting their best foot forward to raise cash for the vital facility.
Health care assistant Kay Byrne ran two marathons as well as the Bury 10k to raise around £1,400 for Hospice. And in-patient unit team leader Rhona Kallee put her best foot forward in the Bury 10k along with Pat Cryer and Melissa Summers. Their efforts took the sponsorship total to more than £2,000.
If fundraisers raise more than £1,000 they will get a ‘heart’ on the reception wall which they can then dedicate to a loved one. “We are really proud,” said Kay. “It was a team effort and our aim was to raise £1,000 so to exceed it is great.” If you can help, please ring the fundraising team on 0161 7971748 or log onto buryhospice.org.uk
