PARENTS worried comprising pictures of their daughters may or have appeared on a website have been given the details of the investigating police officer.

It emerged last week, the pictures of girls at Rivington and Blackrod High School had appeared on the internet, some of the pictures were up their skirts.

Parents said they were sickened and upset after they found out through others about the website.

The school says its has been liaising with Lancashire Police and Bolton Safeguarding Children Board over the “safeguarding matter”.

It adds that it has responded to individual concerns from students and parents whilst awaiting further guidance from the police.

The school states on its website: “After an update from the police today we are now able to offer the following details of the investigating officer, should you wish to make him aware of any images you have concerns about: Graham.Leyland@lancashire.pnn.police.uk.

“We have been able to make our student support services available to the students affected by this recent incident.”
