AN appeal has been issued by supporters of the ‘jewel’ in Burnley’s crown for Volunteers Weekend.
Extra helping hands are wanted to help curate Towneley Hall’s museum.
Drop-in sessions have been arranged for the weekend of April 1 and 2 at the hall.
Volunteers will be on hand between 1pm and 4pm to discuss what the wide-ranging role entails.
Ken Darwen, the historic venue’s manager, said: “Volunteers are very important to Towneley Hall.
“Working alongside our staff, they allow the public greater access to collections and help us to organise events and exhibitions throughout the year and their support is invaluable.”
For more information contact the hall’s reception on 01282 477130.
