A SIX week prison sentence has been given to a thief who stole from supermarkets earlier this month.
Bolton magistrates heard that Gavin Sever, aged 26, of Thrush Ave, Bolton, was already on licence for a previous crime when he took washing liquid, worth £16, from the Co-op on Highfield Road, Farnworth on March 1.
In addition, he admitted stealing meat, worth £21, from Costcutter, Farnworth on March 7 and two bottles of port, valued at £20, from Premier Stores, Plodder Lane, on March 12.
He was ordered to pay the stores a total of £57 in compensation.
