AN inquest has opened into the death of a woman at Royal Bolton Hospital.
Susan Whittaker, aged 54, was taken to hospital after falling ill earlier this month.
Mrs Whittaker lived on King Street in Westhoughton and died in the hospital on Thursday, March 2.
The provisional cause of death was found to be septicaemia and necrotising fasciitis.
Police are not investigating the death and there are no suspicious circumstances.
The inquest was adjourned until Wednesday, August 9 2017.
