FIRE officers are investigating the cause of a late night skip fire in Nelson.
The alert was raised at 11.20pm on Tuesday, March 7 with reports of a a blaze outside and address on Railway Street.
A fire service spokesman, said: "Two fire engines from Nelson were called to a fire in a skip.
"Firefighters used one hose reel and one jet and were at the scene for 45 minutes.
"The cause is under investigation."
There were no injuries reported during the incident.
