A TEENAGE girl was arrested in the early hours of Christmas Day after the loss of her mobile phone caused an incident at the supported accommodation where she lives.
Blackburn magistrates heard Molly McDade wanted to use to the landline at the accommodation but another resident said that was against the rules and it wouldn’t be fair if McDade was made an exception.

McDade became aggressive and refused to stop shouting and swearing despite repeated warnings from the police.
McDade, 18, of East Park Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. She was given a conditional discharge for six months.
Jonathan Taylor, defending, said his client was subject to suspended sentences imposed by the crown court and magistrates court and was co-operating with the probation service.
“They are full of praise for the efforts and progress she is making,” said Mr Taylor. “Alcohol has been the main reason for her offending in the past and it has been confirmed she is going to have an alcohol tag fitted.”
Announcing the magistrates were not going to activate the suspended prison sentences the chairman said the main reason was that she was doing so well with the probation service.
